Hello everyone! It’s Amber here with a sad but very uplifting story about a kitten I rescued last night. His name is Corder (the name of the road I found him on) and he, who I thought was a she, was found in horrible shape. To read about how I found him please visit my blog here.

UPDATE: Today I took him to the vet and he is in worse shape than I had realized but the vet says he is quite the fighter! He does have a really bad infection in his eyes, blisters on his feet and is running a fever. He only weighs 1.11 lbs and they said he can’t be over 5 weeks. They say it’s too soon to know if he will have full vision but they did run a test and there is some vision there. I got all the medication I need for him and he has a follow up in two weeks.

With or without help I was going to save this kitten. I would NEVER ask for donations for personal reasons but I really want to see Corder survive and be placed in a loving home, which he deserves. I know these vet bills are going to add up. I am asking if you can spare anything even if it’s only a dollar, you will be helping me save this precious kittens life! Anything over what I don’t spend at the vet will be donated directly to our save the wolf project.

Thank you so much in advance and I will keep everyone posted on how our new little friend is doing!

UPDATE 2: After taking a nap, I woke up worried about our little man and went to check on him and was VERY happy to see his left eye has stayed open for 12 hours now!! We went ahead and gave him some more antibiotics and eye drops. He was fighting me, this is a good sign! He just ate some food and is now walking around in my office. I couldn’t be happier about his progress right now! Here’s a pic, I know the eyes still look rough, but this is 50% better than it was when I found him! Thanks again to everyone who has donated today, you guys are awesome and I love you all so much from the bottom of my heart! I promise I won’t update 50 times in a day but I will try daily or every other day, I’m just so excited about him getting better! :) -Amber
